The Way of Salvation

Becoming a Christian is not about becoming religious.

Rather, it's about coming into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ, is eternal and our Creator.  Jesus became man, without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished and fully completed our redemption through His death on the cross, offering eternal life as a gift to anyone who places their faith in Him and His completed work.

How the Bible says we can be saved...

The Bible tells us we will all stand before God.

Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

Romans 14:12 "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."

On that day when we stand before God it is going to matter whether or not we are saved. Salvation is a choice we must make before that day of judgment. It is too late once we stand before Him to change anything.

The Bible tells us we are sinners.

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

The fact that we are sinners has separated us from God. It also makes us guilty before Him on that day of judgment. Therefore, in order to be saved we must be reconciled to God and have our sin forgiven.

The Bible tells us sin has a penalty that must be paid.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Revelation 20:14,15 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

If we pay this penalty ourselves it means an eternity in Hell for us. There is nothing else we can do to pay this penalty. It is the punishment we deserve for sin. Church membership, baptism, good works, etc, cannot pay this debt.

The Bible tells us Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin.

I Corinthians 15:3,4 “For I delivered unto first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third dayaccording to the scriptures:”

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

I John 1:7 “…and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Jesus Christ’s death was in our place and for the penalty of our sin. His sacrificial death and resurrection gives us the ability to be forgiven and reconciled to God. Jesus rose again and is able to save any who come to Him for salvation.

The Bible tells us to repent and trust Christ as Saviour.

Acts 20:21 “Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”

II Corinthians 7:10 "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation..."

Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

You must be regretful over your sin and lost condition, as you come in faith asking Him to save you. Is God drawing you to salvation? Would you call upon him now and ask for forgiveness and for him to be your Saviour?
